A highlight of November is always Thanksgiving, which puts Lia's culinary gifts on brilliant display. This is one of her breadmaking masterpieces.

November also marked the home stretch of the BYU football season and the beginning of the BYU basketball season. This meant lots of fun times as the family and chances to associate with distinguished guests of the university.

Katharine turned 15 in November. We are so grateful to have this smart, beautiful, fun, spiritual, kind, thoughtful, hardworking young lady in our family!

Gwyn has been doing home school this year, much to the delight of her adoring little brother, Gabriel, who loves to have his buddy home with him during the day. Gwyn has a special gift for making Gabriel laugh and showing him a good time.

This was our family on a Thanksgiving Day mini-hike, a modest effort to collect some Vitamin A and to make amends for excess caloric intake.

This was one of my few and humble contributions to the Thanksgiving Day feast: a venerable Virginian recipe for frozen cranberry salad.
 

It's fun to sit in the President's Box at football games, but the real fans brave the cold. Here are Lia and the kids cheering on the BYU Women's soccer team during the NCAA tournament.

We made a November day trip to St. George and back so we could tour the open house of the newly renovated St. George Temple. This is the place where our family's eternal journey formally and officially began on October 2, 2003--the most blessed and consequential day of Justin's life!

Another highlight of November was hosting a family from Connecticut who came out to tour the BYU campus and to visit Ensign College. We're hopeful that at least some of their three children will attend a CES school. Along the way, we were befriended by a man named Victor, who helped with the tour of Ensign College.
