Thank you to all of our readers who have faithfully tuned in despite our recent dearth of photos. To reward you your diligence (and to clear up some space on our camera) here's a little photo-blog detailing more pleasant transpirings than hospital visits. First off, I thought you'd all enjoy seeing the new 'do Justin has been sporting now that he's a Yale man. We think it makes him look more like a future senator than his usual floppy mop.

The picture to the right is a little snapshot of Eli enjoying the Baby Big Bird her very thoughtful cousin Joshua (and his Mommy) sent a couple weeks ago. She LOVES it! Julia was thrilled by her Elmo Aquadoodle and went right to work on it. (see below).
Here's a little pic of the girls being twins. Staying home for four weeks can do wonders for a couple's relationship; we can only imagine what good friends they'll be when Eli turns into a long-term, in-house resident!
Julia has also had many play-dates. In addition to her old friend Callie LaDuke, she's played with Mayah Sevy, daughter of the famous Travis and the wonderful Lindsay Sevy. (Travis was once rumored to have single-handedly brought the president of China to Yale this summer; as it turns out, he didn't even get to see him because he had to work that day.)

In very exciting news, great-grandma and grandpa Suttner fled the blazing blizzards bombarding Buffalo to Kitterey (sp?), Maine, and stopped by to see the Harvard campus on their way back. They were quite relieved to find out this was actually Yale, since Harvard's only had one president and Yale's had two, and because Boston drivers are CRAZY. After disabusing their false geographical notions, Justin took us on a tour of the law school and then ran off to class while I showed them the Guttenberg Bible display at the Beinecke Library. Arriving at the cars with parking meters expired, we realized that Justin had run off to class with the keys in his pocket. Our knight in shining armor realized the trouble just in time to save us from driving the few blocks to our lunch destination carseat-less, much to my relief. We had lunch at Louis' Lunch, purportedly the oldest hamburger joint in America (and not only by Kate Ballard, either). We recommend requesting it well-done; I've never had a bloody hamburger like that before, but apparently that's part of the experience.

After Julia had conned Grandpa into buying her armloads of stuffed animals and Halloween decorations at the local Salvation Army, we went home to chat and wait for Justin before going out to dinner. We failed in our attempts to find Sally's Apizza, but did manage to show Grandma and Grandpa how to get back to the freeway before settling on a little Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Julia, once again working her magic on Grandpa, finished off her piece of pizza with a veritable chocolate ice cream bomb. Grandma and I both had to make a stab at finishing it, but there was still enough shrapnel to wound even the most ardent chocolate lover. (Mom excepted.)

That was Wednesday. Thursday we went to a party at Justin's professor's house. To my chagrin, Justin's assurance that this was a jeans sort of casual event equated to our being the only ones in anything less than black and sparkle. (Of course, we were the only ones drinking the gingerale, too).

Even the hospital had some more pleasant moments. Here's Julia trying to take a nap in one of the hospital wagons. It didn't work.

And with all the problems I've had with Blogger this week, I finally finish this Sunday morning, making it time for a week-in-review anyway. But we'll still a wish a very hearty congratulations to the Chapmans on the birth of Jace!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!!! Any who would like to see our cute little nephew, click on the Chapman's blog link on the side.
