Words, words, words

 Our kids are learning early the power of the word. Or, perhaps more accurately, Katharine is. She left this sentence diagram for me on the white board downstairs after tackling cleaning the basement with Abdiel: 

Nothing warms a homeschooling mama’s heart like a correctly diagrammed dependent clause and litany of flattering adjectives. Katharine also had the good idea to write a kind note to another family member as our FHE tonight. Gwyn loved the note she received from Elinor (with Elisabeth’s help) so much that she marched upstairs to show me as I was singing Gabriel to sleep and kept it clutched to her chest or sitting close at her side the rest of the evening.  I loved her note to Abdiel so much I took a picture of it:
