Skip to My Lou

We've tried to use our time productively during this quarantine. I'll post more about general activities later, but I was so excited about this I just had to share! One thing we've started is a Cousin Sing. Wednesday mornings Abdiel, Gwyn, Elinor, and I pile in front of a Zoom screen to greet cousins in Georgia, Minnesota, Arizona, West Valley City, and North Carolina and sing kids' songs together. During the hour, each child gets to request a favorite, and "Skip to My Lou" is one that our Texas cousin loves. I thought Julia could probably figure that out on her violin, and after we got started, a cello part came pretty readily to mind. Throw in Gwyn on the tambourine and we had a full country band!
