More Gwyn

Weekday lunches with only Gwyn and Elinor before taking Gwyn to afternoon Kindergarten often makes my whole day worth it.

Today at lunch, Gwyn explained life's progression:

"First, you start out Elinor's age, then you get to be a littler my age, then my age, then you're Abdiel's age, then Katharine's age, then Elisabeth's age, then Julia's age, then your age [speaking to me], then Daddy's age, then Grandma's age, then Grandpa's age, then you're dead. Yeah. And first you get married and the moms send little kiss-ish thingies to the dads and the dads send little kiss-ish thingies to the moms. Yeah. But usually they just send each other lunches." Which I guess was inspired by my eating an extra boxed lunch Justin brought home for me from a law school event.

Overheard during lunch while Gwyn, who has been going a little overboard on the cleanup when doing her business lately, was in the bathroom:

"Dear Heavenly Father, please help the toilet not to overflow! ....amen."

*An audible intake of hopeful breath as she flushes*

"Yes!!!"

*Happy skipping out the powder room*

The Lord hears another child's prayer.
