A statuary group in Galleria nell'Accademia, the gallery which houses Michelangelo's David. It's depicting the carrying away of the Sabine women by the single men who founded Rome and needed wives. I personally think it's more like Watership Down than the priests of Noah, but it certainly disturbed Abdiel.
We saw the Biblioteca Riccardiana. Even if we hadn't neglected to take pictures, you'd get more out of the virtual tour available here anyway. You can move through the rooms on the map inset. They have the oldest manuscripts of Pliny the Younger here, but will only show them to serious students. Justin obviously wasn't with us. No one can mistake him for anything but.
The Duomo. I'm excited to go inside and climb the steps to the top of Brunneleschi's dome on a Mommy-Daughter date with someone!
At least this one does.
Some of the airport waiting mentioned previously. :)
