Eli has been out of diapers for some time now, but her bladder and bowels still require more vigilance than any mortal could bestow. Today she and Lia made a deal regarding the relationship between princess-dress privileges and anti-accident behavior.
LIA: Eli did you tell Daddy about our deal?
ELI: Yes. I mean, no.
LIA: Did you want to tell him about it.
ELI: Oh, yes [collecting herself and speaking with precision]: Mommy goes potty . . . and I don't.
