March winds blow

We were very happy to be done with February, but grateful that it went out mildly. So mildly, in fact, that they were finally able to replace the roof that was damaged with the hail storm that accompanied Miriam's birth. We contracted for it back in November or October, pretty sure, so we're really glad this was not a half down situation or we would have thought we had been robbed.  Saturday not only had glorious weather, it also heralded the glorious arrival of the Cheneys to catch up, go to dinner, and hit the game. Cougs came out on top by 21 points, about 77-56. They started out making it much too close, so we were glad. But Lia loved being with Gretchen regardless, and Gretchen loved being with Miriam, so all was well.

Kirk's bishop in his youth was Elder Kevin S. Hamilton and Kirk and Gretchen attended BYU-Idaho during the Bednar presidency, so it was special that both of these great men (and Sister Bednar, not sure about Sister Hamilton) happened to be there to watch the game, too! They got to shake hands and catch up a bit.

Earlier in the day, Katharine had a cello recital--Elgar's cello concerto in B minor, first movement. It was stunning, as is she.

Justin spoke at a PLC meeting, Katharine attended a lunch for Founding Forward, and we went to the dentist. No cavities, and another week gone by!
