Katharine is officially a teenager! She was super excited for her 13th birthday, and decided she wanted to have a birthday party for the first time ever (she generally prefers family gatherings for her birthday).
For her party, she and six of her friends went swimming in the Homestead Crater. They had so much fun swimming...

Afterwards they came back to our house for presents, a hot chocolate bar, and delicious eclairs. They had a lot of fun throwing whipped cream into their mouths, too!
Her official birthday was just as fun. She received a straightener, anti-heat spray, claw clips, and---to kick off her teenage years---How to Win Friends and Influence People for Teen Girls. In addition to her gifts, Katharine thoroughly enjoyed the BYU ballet showcase she and Elisabeth went to together. Katharine's teenage years are certainly off to a great start!
