We hosted a fireside on Sunday for the youth in our ward. The youth brought refreshments, one of which was a large salad, accompanied by purple paper plates and yellow plastic forks. The next morning as we were setting the breakfast table, Eli was dancing around the table swinging a fistful of leftover forks. When she was done dancing, she shoved the lot of them into her mouth. "Eli," Lia said gently, "please don't put ten forks in your mouth."
"Oh Mommy," she explained. "There are actually eleven of them."
