When I grow up, I want to be a mother . . .

Eli has taken lately to pronouncing upon the state of the world "when I'm a mom." Mostly, it seems, children will be allowed to do as they please, and their royal wardrobes will be quite expansive. It is all quite instructive, but yesterday Lia had the temerity to interrupt one of Eli's forecasts.

ELI: When I'm a mom . . .

LIA: It will be a glorious day!!!

ELI (hands on hips, frowning, and stamping right foot for emphasis): NO! It will NOT be a glorious day. It will be a CLOUDY day!!!!
